The process of producing food requires significant energy input, raising concerns about environmental sustainability and resource depletion. From powering farm equipment and manufacturing fertilizers to transporting goods and refrigerating perishables, every stage of the food supply chain consumes energy—much of it derived from fossil fuels. This reliance contributes to greenhouse gas emissions, which accelerate climate change and threaten global food security. Additionally, energy-intensive practices in industrial agriculture can lead to inefficient use of natural resources and increased pollution. As the global population grows, finding ways to reduce the energy footprint of food production—through renewable energy, local sourcing, and sustainable farming methods—becomes increasingly vital.
It is becoming more and more apparent that the government cannot be trusted to help us. We must take action ourselves. It has always been the people that make things happen. Governments have always made things worse.
