The growing need for energy to cool our homes is becoming a major concern, particularly as global temperatures continue to rise due to climate change. Air conditioning and other cooling systems are becoming more common, even in regions that previously had mild climates, leading to increased electricity consumption and higher demand on power grids, especially during heatwaves. Much of this energy still comes from fossil fuels, contributing further to the cycle of global warming. Additionally, the widespread use of cooling systems can strain infrastructure and raise energy costs, disproportionately affecting low-income households. As the planet warms, there is a pressing need to find energy-efficient cooling solutions, improve building design for passive cooling, and expand access to renewable energy sources to meet growing demands in a sustainable way.
It is becoming more and more apparent that the government cannot be trusted to help us. The people must take action. It has always been the people that make things happen. Governments have always made things worse.
