Over the past several decades the education system has worsened due to a combination of infiltration of communism, softening of standards, and a growing disconnect between curriculum and real-world skills. The unionization of faculty has shifted focus from the students to the teachers. Students and parents are attacked for having independent thinking. Parents are pressured into not being involved and to let the government raise their child. Extremist groups threaten and create a fear that moves curriculum towards immoral and anti-American views. Pedophile teachers are protected by the Union. As a result, students graduate without essential life skills, healthy values, and a strong foundation in subjects vital for success in today’s complex world.
Improving our education system requires more than changes in schools—it also requires greater involvement from parents. While teachers play a vital role in educating children, they have limited time with each student and cannot replace the guidance, encouragement, and accountability that parents provide at home. Parents who read with their children, monitor homework, communicate with teachers, reinforce the importance of learning, and set high expectations help create habits that lead to academic success. Research consistently shows that students whose parents are actively involved in their education tend to earn better grades, have higher attendance, exhibit better behavior, and are more likely to graduate. Parents need to stand up to the Teachers Union and defend their right to quality education with healthy moral values. Throwing money at the problem is not the answer. Stand up for your right to school choice.
